Tiger 3 Box Office Triumph: Salman Khan Hits ₹150 Crore in 3 Days Post-Diwali!

Salman Khan's latest cinematic venture, Tiger 3, has stormed the box office, shattering records within just three days of its release. As a pivotal installment in YRF's Spy Universe, the action-thriller raked in an impressive Rs 43.5 crore on its third day, propelling its net domestic total to a formidable Rs 148 crore, marking Salman's 17th film to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore net milestone.

Breaking conventional norms, Tiger 3 made an extraordinary Sunday debut, coinciding with the Diwali holiday, amassing a staggering Rs 44 crore on its opening day. The film witnessed exponential growth on day two, pulling in an impressive Rs 58 crore, securing Salman's biggest-ever opening weekend.

On a global scale, Tiger 3 has exceeded expectations by amassing over Rs 220 crore, positioning itself to potentially surpass the Rs 330 crore global gross of Ek Tha Tiger, a feat achieved just over a decade ago. In comparison, Salman's 2017 hit, Tiger Zinda Hai, grossed an impressive Rs 565 crore globally.

Despite a robust performance in the Hindi-language market with a 33% occupancy on day three, the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions saw a slightly lower occupancy of under 20%. Interestingly, Tiger 3 faces stiff competition in South Indian regions compared to Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 hits, Pathaan and Jawan, both of which crossed the coveted Rs 1000 crore global milestone.

Salman, who has consistently approached the billion-dollar mark, has yet to breach this benchmark. His highest-grossing film globally remains Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which grossed over Rs 900 crore. With Tiger 3 set to surpass the lifetime haul of its predecessor, it now eyes surpassing the Rs 475 global gross posted by Hrithik Roshan's War.

Directed by Maneesh Sharma and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Tiger 3 is the fifth installment in YRF's interconnected spy film universe, which also features Pathaan and War. The inclusion of Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in cameo roles hints at future exciting installments, including War 2 directed by Ayan Mukerji and a teased Tiger vs Pathaan film under the helm of Siddharth Anand. The success of Tiger 3 not only marks a triumphant return for Salman Khan but also sets the stage for an electrifying future in the world of espionage cinema.
